Balochistan Digital Learning & Youth Employment Initiative: From First Lesson to First Job

By Tech Accuracy Newsroom3 min read

Young people in Balochistan are ready to learn, work and build careers, but the road from a classroom to a first job is still too long for many of them. A new proposal aims to shorten that road. At a working lunch hosted at Dewan House in Karachi, Tech Accuracy Chairman Mr. Sohail Wajahat Siddiqui and Dewan Group Chairman Mr. Yousuf Dewan Farooqui welcomed Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, to discuss a joint plan for youth skills and employment in the province.

The proposal has been named the Balochistan Digital Learning & Youth Employment Initiative. Its message is simple: “From First Lesson to First Job.”

Who Attended the Meeting

The meeting brought together leaders from government, industry and technology, the three groups the initiative depends on.

  • Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Chairman, Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (guest of honour)
  • Mr. Yousuf Dewan Farooqui, Chairman, Dewan Group and Chancellor, Dewan University (host)
  • Mr. Sohail Wajahat Siddiqui, Chairman, Tech Accuracy (co-host)
  • Senior members of the Dewan Group and Tech Accuracy teams

What the Initiative Proposes

The core idea is a single digital platform that connects schools, colleges, teachers and students across Balochistan. Instead of treating education, training and hiring as separate steps run by separate organisations, the platform would carry a learner through all of them in one place.

The participants discussed four main parts of the programme:

  • A six-month SAP certification track that gives young people an enterprise skill employers already hire for
  • Training designed with industry, so course content matches the jobs that are actually open
  • Job placement support that links certified graduates with employers
  • AI-powered digital learning that reaches students in districts far from major cities

Closing the Gap Between Learning and Earning

Many young people in Pakistan finish their studies without the practical skills employers ask for. Employers, in turn, report that they cannot find trained candidates. The initiative is designed to close this skills gap by building the training around real industry needs and following each learner through to placement.

Online learning is central to making this work in Balochistan, where distances are large and training centres are few. A well-built AI learning platform can adjust to each student’s pace, track progress for teachers and institutions, and offer the same quality of content in Quetta, Gwadar or Turbat.

Commitments From Government and Industry

Rana Mashhood said the government is working to give every young person an equal chance to grow and succeed. He praised the Dewan Group for its long record in education and welcomed its support for the Youth Programme.

Mr. Yousuf Dewan Farooqui described the government’s youth efforts as commendable and pledged the Dewan Group’s continued support for the programme’s goal of improving young people’s futures.

Everyone at the meeting agreed that it is time to turn the vision into action. They proposed bringing government, industry and technology partners onto one platform to give Balochistan’s youth skills, professional certification and job opportunities.

Tech Accuracy’s Role as a Technology Partner

Tech Accuracy works in both of the areas this initiative needs: enterprise technology and professional training. The company builds learning management systems and business software, delivers SAP and IT training, and is affiliated with the Sindh Trade Testing Board for vocational certification.

This experience is directly relevant to building and running a unified learning-to-employment platform, from the LMS that delivers courses to the certification and reporting tools that show results to partners.

What Happens Next

The initiative is currently a proposal. No timeline, budget or formal agreement has been announced yet. Tech Accuracy will share updates on this blog as the programme moves forward.
